"EXCELLENT MACHINE. Very easy to operate. It greatly improved our efficiency and gave us greater flexibility in our digging schedule."

Dear Dan,

You asked me how I like our Holmac. I can't be too enthusiastic -- we're just real tickled with it!

What really sold us on it was its size and maneuverability. It can get in small places; that was a key point for us.

And it's much more convenient to dig when the orders come in. It eliminates the hassles of trying to get a digging crew. We save a lot of money digging. We can just pop out shade trees. We paid for the machine in the first year. I'm sure we dug more than 2000 balls.

There's no other way to root prune perfectly! Especially big Austrian pines and spruce. They would cost $5 or more apiece to do by hand, and when you have thousands, you just don't do it. With the Holmac each tree costs about maybe 30 cents and it's so quick. To rootprune 3000 trees would cost us $15,000 to do by hand, and only a few hundred $$ with Holmac. If you do it at the right time of year, you don't lose any, and you wind up with a ball you can't even break, it's so full of roots.

We'll probably make at least an extra $100,000 a year on pine and spruce because we have the Holmac. Our customers are booking a couple of years ahead because they want rootpruned material for its high survivability and vigor. A lot of our customers don't order a whole semi-load, but need 50 or 20 trees for a job. That's what they need; they can't have six of them die. That's why they buy from us; our rootpruned material is reliable.

We haven't had any problems with our Holmac; it's very dependable. We just change the oil and keep it greased. I'd feel confident recommending it to anybody. Thanks for making it available."

Sincerely,

"Dear Dan,

We are very pleased with our Holmac. I wish every piece of equipment we buy could live up to the expectations we have as well as the Holmac has.

It took a couple days and varying moisture conditions to get a basic understanding of the machine but we got the hang of it pretty quick.

Our best production numbers occurred when we dug arborvitae at the rate of 45 per hour and that was pretty early in our experience.

Thanks for your help."
